The Black Mother was a renown prophetess and said to understand all layers of reality - an alias of Parvati (Chandrakanta) is the name of a moonstone connected to meditation and divination. The Black Mother deserted her own sire Zapatasura in the state of war, Parvati was dedicated to the destruction of the 13. The jati created by the Black Mother was about chivalry and knightly combat, Parvati's social group was about pragmatic warfare. They both took a liking for soldier types – Parvati in her lover Mambrino, and the Black Mother in Phaedyme who she embraced. Kali is about destruction and the end of the world, so is Parvati's Black Hand in a sense. The goddesses Parvati and Kali of Hinduism is said to be different aspects of the same deity. It was something about connecting Parvati to Marizhavashti Kali, the Black Mother. I was more a couple of straying ideas then a theory really, and I didn't necessarily believe it myself.
